Description of the program "FOCUS.KOM":
---------------------------------------
FOCUS.KOM is a very strong basic program with integrated automatic
parameterisation.
With this program, the customer is able to gain first experiences with the
vector controlled system.
To operate the motor for example with an analogous setpoint, the knowledge
of the actual parameter (F0, F1 ... F31, i, k, t, y0, y1) are not necessary,
because the program determines all important settings automatically.
For this only the data of the motor type designation plate, of the connected
rotary transducer and the rated current of the inverter are required.
The customer can select different operating modes (analogous setpoint,
setpoint via bus, setpoint values over digital inputs).
For the post-optimisation of the parameters the auto parameterisation can
via a flag be disconnected (0E20). In this case, the attitudes can be
optimised by slight adaptation of the parameters designated with "READ"
(this in particular applies for the parameters F0, t, i and k).
Note: Please, do not use the special function "automatic parameterisation"
in connection with this program, which is available in WinDietz , because
in this manner the parametrization routine in "FOCUS.KOM" will be disconnect
(TER.EXE even overwrite the programme complete).
Tip: After successful parametrization (including the post-optimisation),
the program blocks 50 to 57, 95, 60, 61, 63 are no more necessary if
the flag 0E20 remains set to "0", since these blocks are run through
no more. In such a way, these blocks are available for own routines.
All variables in the area 0B30 to 0E6E become equally again available
with the exception of the following cells: 0B30, 0B32, 0E00 ... 0E20,
0E44, 0E50, 0E60, 0E62, 0E64. If the auto parameterisation remains
active, the cells and blocks which are performed at "FOCUS.LST" are
only available.
In the program "FOCUS.KOM", all outputs of the plug-and-socket connectors
X1 and X2 are used. The outputs are defined in block 58 (this is alterable).
The inputs at X1 and X2 are also all used for various functions, but the
inputs E4, E5, E6, E7 and INT2 are not yet used (may be these functions
can from the customer changed/replace, too).
Who can I change the data's at the device?
------------------------------------------
There are the following possibilities: via the built-in keypad-control
section or a PC / Laptop:
a) PC/Laptop with MS-DOS or Windows 3.11:
Use the program, so-called "TER.EXE" and type TER FOCUS_E <enter>.
After the start of the program press the function key 'F1' and load
the variables and parameters.
b) PC/Laptop with W95 or W98:
Use the program, so-called "WinDietz" (from Version 1.11), select the
application, in this case FOCUS_E.CNF, and the connected type of the
inverter (DSV5444 / ML or DSV5445 / MLL). After this, please click in
the parameter menu at 'Edit parameter of converter'.
If using WinDietz be sure to have selcted "Converter" and "Application".
choose the correct mode for ML or DSV 5444 choose the application- window (note: thatīs not the program *.kom) |
![]() |
choose the suitable mode for the laptop-RS232 |
c) Via the built-in keypad-control:
Select the menu "Change variables", and look for the variables which
will be edit (e. g. 0E24 ...). Please note, that the variables, shown
at the keypad-display have only a name in newer ML*-versions (not in
544*-vers.). Therefore, keep ready a print-out with the variable names.
Only change the variables which are explained in this print-out list!
After changing these variables, the menu "save values" must be carried
out, otherwise all changes are not active. The point "change parameter"
can be select to adjust the parameters be employed however, the flag
0E20 must first be set for this to 0.
Which Data's can be adjust?

What is the minimum connection?
-------------------------------
In order to operate a motor in the simplest operating mode (that is with
analogous setpoint) only the input ISP (hardware enable) and a setpoint is
needed. It is possible to use the internal 15V supply of the device, if there
is no external voltage for the setpoint (-10V...0V...+10V) and the ISP input
(+24V). Additionally the rotary transducer and the motor must be connected to
the device.
X1-Pin-No. Function:
2 Output A9 (Set = Actual
3 Ready for operation BB
5 Hardware enable ISP - both inputs must be active,
6 Input E8 (quick stop) - only then the motor can run
8 Interrupt extern INT2
11 0V of ext. supply
12 24V of ext. supply
19 Setpoint input 1 "+" - here can be connected a
17 Setpoint input 1 "-" - Potentiometer or an external
18 GND for setpoint - analogous Setpoint
25 Setpoint input 2 "-"
15 Setpoint input 2 "+"
20 Internal +15V / 20mA - if this voltages used,
22 Internal -15V / 20mA - Pin 11 and 18 must be connected
Which functions are at terminal X2?
-----------------------------------
X2-Pin-No.: Function:
1 Output A7 (motor stand still)
2 Output A6 (Overload)
3 Output A5 (Position arrived)
4 Output A4 (Speed arrived)
5 Output A3 (Speed threshold ok)
6 Output A2 (Over temperature)
7 Output A1 (actual direction)
8 Output A0 (control is switched on)
9 Input E7 (not programmed)
10 Input E6 (not programmed)
11 Input E5 (not programmed)
12 Input E4 (not programmed)
12 Input E3 (digital negativ) *
13 Input E2 (digital positive) *
15 Input E1 (analogous negative) **
16 Input E0 (analogous positive) **
* = Cell 0E62 is at '0', the activation of input E3 causes that the motor
turns negatively with rotation speed registered in cell 0E1E, the value
of the cell 0E1E also can be sent via an addressed bus. Input E2 cause
a positive rotation speed with the value from the cell 0E1E.
** = Cell 0E62 is at '0', it is driven analogously nevertheless, but the
direction can be select with the inputs E1 (negative) and E0 (positive).
Note: A shutdown of the inputs E3...E0 causes a slowing-down with
disconnection.
How can I change or extend the programme?
-----------------------------------------
The programm FOCUS.KOM can be changed online via TER.EXE (block editor)
and/or WinDietz (programming). The programme can also be changed off-line
with WinDietz. Please, save the program with a new name (e.g. CUSTOMER.KOM).
Also the menus provided with the extensions *.CNF and/or *.CFG can be
changed by using the Terminal Programms (Note: *.CFG - files runs not with
TER.EXE, but *.CNF -files runs with both Terminal programs (WinDietz and
TER.EXE). Changes via WinDietz are always saved in the *.CFG format, but
the original *.CNF - file is looked.
Example: Change of the function of input E8 from "quick stop" to the new
function "spindle positioning at external cam". In this case, the
drive should hold the position under torque:
;
; ******** Block 17 ******** LOW-Flank at "E8"
;
:17 ; Emergency stop (X1 Pin 7 parallel X1 Pin 6 !)
(STOP!) ;
b0 ; Digital setpoint selection
l[eb4 ; 1. Setpoint input at
m0 ; normal function
o[214] ; load actual customer speed
l[210 ; overload actual incremental -
m[710] ; speed value
l[efc ; 2. Setpoint switch off
m0 ;
l[ef8 ; 1. Setpoint switch off
m0 ;
; V ; Speed control (old command with ";" remove)
; ?[1ae ; Condition load with 'Stand Still' (remove)
; . ; wait until condition is filled (remove)
; a ; Control switch off (remove)
P ; new command "P" for spindle positioning added ...
;
Since the position control is now additional activated, further variables
in the menus provided must be 'switched on'. It becomes that "extended
menus provided for experts" the new variables and/or parameters are
immediately employed (ML_D.CNF and/or ML_E.CNF) amenable. They now require
them:
Variable: Name: Function: Default setting:
0E48 Stop ramp (position)F4 be less as 0E3C 500 rpm/s
0E64 Reference int./ext. Cam INT2 at 255 255 flag
If 0E64 is on 0, the encoder zero impulse will be used, otherwise the signal
at X1 pin 8!
